Our Story
Fly Together.
Fly Echo.
A virtual airline built by flight sim enthusiasts, for flight sim enthusiasts — where the flying matters and so does the company.
How It Started
From a Discord Server
to an Airline
Echo Airlines didn't start with a business plan. It started with a small group of pilots hanging out in the "Kip on the Ground" flight simulation community, sharing tips, comparing landings, and generally making each other better — and louder — pilots.
Out of that community, a handful of people kept showing up. They flew together, learned together, and eventually decided that what they had was worth turning into something real. Erie, Pennsylvania — KERI — became the symbolic home base: the middle ground where ideas took flight.
Echo Airlines was the result. Not a corporation. Not a ladder to climb. Just an excuse to do more of what everyone was already doing — flying good aircraft, on good routes, with good people.
The Founder Tour
To understand where we're going, you have to know where we've been.
The Founder Tour traces the airline's roots across five legs and six airports.
The tour begins at KERI — Erie, the symbolic heart of the airline, the middle ground where ideas took flight. This leg flies east to Boston to honor Monk, the mentor whose mathematical precision and Airbus expertise shaped the airline's early culture.
From Boston's disciplined Airbus culture to Indy's friendly chaos. This leg honors Lithona — co-founder, teacher, and the reason most of us actually understand what we're doing up there. Equal parts technical expertise and humor.
The longest leg of the tour, reaching north to Yellowknife. It celebrates Canadian — the pilot who keeps things light, welcoming, and full of laughter, and who has a very specific love for the A380 that we respect deeply.
Yellowknife to Scottsdale honors NDBoost, who joined on Day 2 and became the fourth leg of the stool that made the whole thing steady. A builder of APIs and a pilot of Airbuses — proof that it's not how early you joined that matters, it's how much fun you bring.
The final leg brings everyone home to Erie. It captures the airline's fearless spirit best: we don't do go-arounds. No matter how wild the crosswind or how questionable the flare — you commit, you land, and you laugh about it on Discord.
Our Culture
What We're About
Fly Free
No mandatory events. No rank progression to grind. No pressure to fly a specific aircraft or route. Your sim, your rules — we're just here to make it more fun.
Fly Together
Group flights, shared routes, live Discord banter at 35,000 feet. The best part of any flight is the conversation — and we've got plenty of that.
Fly Honest
Real landing rates. Real flight data. We log what actually happened — including the -650 fpm "arrivals" — because laughing at your own landings is half the fun.
Come Fly With Us
Sound Like Your Kind of Airline?
If you're an adult who loves flight simulation and just wants a group of people to fly with — the kind of folks you'd chat with in the jump seat, trading tips on approaches and arguing about the best SID — Echo Airlines might be exactly what you're looking for. No rigid schedules. No mandatory events. Just good people, great aircraft, and the kind of flying that makes you actually look forward to sitting down at your desk.
